Aug 15, 2012 Every bit of dust you suck up from the pool will just find this gap and bypass the filter completely and go back into the pool. I undid all the screws around the valve, opened it up and cleaned it out, after only a few days the pool was shimmering like the hope diamond!

May 28, 2013 The algae could be partially shifted with a brush but appeared to have gone into the pool paint. Filling the filter with zeolite was a costly mistake. I would suggest to empty the filter and use correct, unadulterated, plain filter sand. You'll not get fine dust, algae and such problems and the water will remain clearer
